#InspireGoodSG FAQs

It is an initiative by Maybank Singapore to drive awareness and recognition of the people behind good deeds, both small and big, that might otherwise go unnoticed.

The Initiative is being held in two phases.

  • The first phase of the Initiative, held from 18 July to 5 August 2019, is open to Maybank Singapore, Maybank Kim Eng Singapore and Etiqa Singapore employees only.
  • The second phase of the Initiative, held from 24 August to 31 October 2019, is open to the public.

Good deeds are acts of compassion, unconditional love, understanding, kindness, volunteering, help or support to a family member, a person in your community, a person you meet during your day or the society at large.

Examples of good deeds include, but are not limited to:

  • A colleague who helps clear a messy office pantry.
  • A neighbour who carries and uses his/her own reusable metal straw, instead of using disposable plastic straws.
  • A stranger who offers his/her seat to the elderly on the MRT.

You can participate in the Initiative when you do a good deed and receive our Initiative Card (“Card”).

If you do a good deed and receive our Card, you can participate by completing these 4 simple steps:

  • Scan the QR Code on the Card to arrive at the Initiative website;
  • Share the good deed which you did to receive the Card (describe the act and include an optional photo);
  • Choose to:
    • Redeem your token of appreciation (SGD5 cash gift); or
    • Select a charity from a list of charities to which Maybank Singapore will donate SGD5. (Maybank will donate to each charity the final donation amounts from participants at the end of the Initiative Period, in Maybank’s name, based on the number of entries selecting the charity. You will not be making a donation to the charities directly.); and
  • Submit your particulars on the Initiative website.

You must provide the required information on the website, including your full name as per NRIC/FIN, last 3-digits and letter of your NRIC/FIN and your email address. You do not need to share your full NRIC number.

Participants who choose to redeem the token of appreciation must also provide the mobile number which they have linked to their PayNow account. Only participants who have a mobile number linked to their PayNow account can receive the token of appreciation.

PayNow is a service that allows you to receive money conveniently directly into your bank account, using your mobile number. If you do not have PayNow yet, try linking your bank account to PayNow. Details are available at https://www.abs.org.sg/consumer-banking/pay-now.

Maybank will credit the token of appreciation to you via PayNow using your mobile number, within 5 business days from Maybank’s approval of your Initiative entry.

You can share #InspireGoodSG to your social network on Facebook or WhatsApp via our Initiative website! After that is done, you can pass the Card to another person who has done a good deed.

You can only participate in this Initiative once. If you receive the Card again after participating, thank you for your good deeds! Help us get more likeminded individuals on board this Initiative by passing the card to another person who has done a good deed.

If the Initiative is still ongoing (you can check by scanning the QR code on the Card), feel free to share the good deed you spotted on Facebook and/or Instagram and use the hashtag #InspireGoodSG when you post. Also, you can pass it on to another person whom you see doing a good deed.

Unfortunately, you will no longer be able to participate in the Initiative.

By participating in the Initiative and submitting your particulars, you consent to Maybank collecting, using, maintaining and disclosing the particulars for purposes of this Initiative and in accordance with our Data Protection Policy, which can be found on our website at www.maybank2u.com.sg.
